Born in 1977 at Mt. Shasta General Hospital with my mother’s window looking out to the beautiful Mt. Shasta, I have
had the opportunity to see all that Northern California has to offer, from the tantalizing Pacific coastline to the mystic
Sierra Nevada range. It never fails to amaze me how little the people in the area actually get to see. I have seen first
hand the blood, sweat and tears of the western family: the smile that crosses a man’s face after he has helped to build
something great and the happy glow of a mother holding her child for the first time. I have seen a cow clean her
newborn calf and a fawn take its first steps. I have witnessed tragic wildfires rip through the land, only to bring a chance
for new life.

In my photography, I try to bring to life the moments that truly captivate me. This is what makes my photos so unique
and memorable not only for me, but hopefully for you as well, to give you a look into the scene and maybe get you to
say, “Hey, I stood right there” or “Wow, we’ll have to visit there sometime.”

I love spending time with my family. I met my wife while visiting Florida one summer and she decided to move out to
California shortly after. We were married in March 2007 on Cocoa Beach in Florida.  My daughter Sierra was born Nov
17 2008. Taking my wife and daughter around the country and sharing the knowledge that my father and grandfather
handed down to me is a great feeling. I have been so fortunate to be able to see and experience a life outside of the
common hustle and bustle that we see today. My one hope is to give my daughter the knowledge that life does not need
to be rushed, but enjoyed. To show her that hard work and determination will pay off, but that family comes first.

I started Northern Cal Images because I hope to give credit where credit is due: the ever-changing beauty that helped
make me what I am today, the beauty that is Northern California.
